Michael Higdon was born in Liverpool, England . He signed from Crewe Alexandra in June 2007 after coming through their youth set-up. Higdon scored 10 goals in 81 appearances for Crewe.

He scored on his debut for Falkirk against FC Zwolle. He is a hard working target man who is also good in the air and offers Falkirk the height they have been lacking up front.
