Dean Holden
was born in Salford, Greater Manchester
but has been capped for Northern Ireland.
Holden was
captain of Peterborough United prior to
moving to Falkirk. He started his career
with Bolton Wanderers and then moved on to
Oldham Athletic. He is a
right back but plays most matches as a
left back. Dean was transferred to Falkirk
on January 1 2007.
Dean was
called up to the Northern Ireland squad in
June 2007. He scored his first goal for Falkirk
against Aberdeen on the 3rd March
which went on to win Falkirk's goal
of the season.
Dean
was a permanent fixture at Left Back
in season 2007-08 until he broke his
leg against Celtic in January 2008.
His leg required re-setting after
months of healing and it may be some
time before he is back playing
again.
