Darren Barr is a graduate of the Falkirk academy who previously had a loan spell with Forfar Athletic during season 2005-06.
Darren won his first award when he was crowned the SPL Young Player of the Month in December 2006. He then went on to win the Fans player of the year and Players player of the year.
He scored his first goal for Falkirk against local rivals Dunfermline in the second game of the 2006-07 season.
Falkirk turned down a £500,000 bid plus add-ons from Burnley in June 2008. 
On Wednesday 20th August 2008, Darren won his first full international cap for Scotland, when he appeared as a 2nd half substitute against Northern Ireland.
